![]() Letting those new players, who have by now already subbed, into HS content is awesome of SE and as stated *should* be available to those who want it. I may be incorrect on this one, but Steam players didn't get that option either did they? I digress. Lots of new players are around now because of the Twitch Prime deal for the full base game for free. Now, sure, by the time they actually *reached* Heavensward content, what with the ridiculously long MSQ and all that, they've probably already made up their mind on if they want to dive into the game proper or not, but they still miss out on this option because of this deal not being on Steam.Īnd I'm sure we can all agree, Heavensward content is much better than ARR content, letting everyone have free access to it would only show more people how the game improved and get them to join in earnest. I suppose if someone was just wanting to try out FF14, bought the Starter version, and wanted to take advantage of the free Heavensward campaign, being on Steam would screw them out of that. I mean, sure, you could buy either Stormblood or Shadowbringers and get Heavensward for free (immediately for Stormblood, eventually for Shadowbringers), but that isn't exactly the point being made here. For the sake of equality and all that, Steam *should* have the same deals as Mogstation. as much as it isn't a big deal, he *does* have a point. ![]() Plus why should someone need to buy Stormblood for both expansions prior to Shadowbringers? Since even pre ordering Shadowbringers only grants you access to the previous expansions on the launch day?Įhhh. Ya know, the people that only own the base game who would also like to benefit from the deal. ![]() ![]() It's about how the option should be there for anyone that doesn't have it. It's not about how much it affects people or not.
